V2Mac 0.5.2
What’s changed
- Update a Homebrew-installed V2Mac through Homebrew
- Update Now uses brew when V2Mac was installed with brew, so Homebrew keeps the right version
- The download still goes through V2Mac’s proxy, and the app reopens after the upgrade
- Install with Homebrew: brew install –cask lordversa/tap/v2mac
- The Homebrew cask opens without the Gatekeeper prompt; no xattr step needed
- Let a new test wait for the running one instead of blocking it, and show the speed while it is measured
- The Test button stays available while a test runs (for example one started from the menu bar); new tests are queued after it
- The inspector’s Test Now no longer greys out while another server is being tested
- During a speed test the Speed column shows “Connecting…”, then the current download speed, updated live
- The live speed keeps a fixed width and format, so it does not jump around as it changes
Install
With Homebrew: brew install --cask lordversa/tap/v2mac (or brew upgrade --cask v2mac).
Or download V2Mac-0.5.2.dmg, check it against the .sha256 file, and follow the first-launch steps in the README (the app is ad-hoc signed).
