VLESS REALITY on a Mac
REALITY borrows a real website’s handshake, so to anyone on the path your connection looks like a visit to that site. You need a server that offers it, from your provider or your own.
1. Install V2Mac
With Homebrew: brew install --cask v2macapp/tap/v2mac. Or use the DMG, and click Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security the first time. It needs macOS 26 or later on Apple Silicon.
2. Add the server
Press ⌘N and paste your subscription URL or your link. A REALITY link looks like this, with your own values:
vless://UUID@server.example.com:443?security=reality&sni=www.example.com&pbk=PUBLIC_KEY&sid=SHORT_ID&fp=chrome&type=tcp&flow=xtls-rprx-vision#My%20serverOr enter it by hand
Choose Enter Details Manually… in the same sheet. Pick REALITY under security and fill in SNI, fingerprint, public key, short ID and spider X. All of them come from your server’s settings.
3. Test and connect
Press ⌘T for the real delay: a request through the server, timed. Then double-click the server. The connection bar shows the country your traffic leaves from. If it says “No answer through this server”, the core runs but the server does not pass traffic.
4. Send your apps through it
Turn on System Proxy for apps that follow the macOS settings, or TUN for every app and every DNS lookup. Or point one app at 127.0.0.1:10808, which speaks SOCKS5 and HTTP.
If your browser ignores host rules
Browsers use QUIC on UDP 443, which hides the host name. Turn on Block QUIC in the Rules window.
